DAY, Raymond O. "Ray" age 74 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at his home. Ray was born on July 14, 1931 to the late George and Pearl Day and has been a resident of Dayton since 1954. He was one of eleven children, with only three surviving. He is survived by Elizabeth, his loving wife of 24 years, his children Gladys Marie Caisson and Tina Gaw; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brothers Donald Day, Gilbert Day and Bill Day; special friends Eddie and Lillie Welch; and a host of other relatives and friends. Ray served our country in the US Army 5 years and the US Air Force 8 years, serving during the Korean War. He retired from Chrysler Corp. after many years of service. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Road. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
