Raymond W. Nagel, age 84, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017. He was born August 2, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio.
He served our country in the Army during the Korean War. Raymond was a City of Dayton employee for 38 years. After retirement he was a volunteer driver for 10 Wilmington Place. He was an avid fan of UD Basketball, OSU Football and Cincinnati Reds Baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence J. and Dorothy M. Nagel; loving wife, Patricia R. Nagel and son-in-law, Andrew Cowger.
Raymond is survived by his brother, Richard (Linda) Nagel; cousin, William (Donna) Meyer; children, Laurie (Archie "Butch") Wells, Angela Cowger, R. Bruce (Leslie) Nagel and Mark (Rhonda) Nagel; grandchildren, Andrew Cowger, Benjamin Cowger, Jeffrey Nagel, Madeline Nagel and Kirsten Smith. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association Miami Valley Chapter, 31 W. Whipp Rd. Dayton, OH 45459.
