Raymond Marbury (age 67)
By the early 1970's, Funk had become popular around the globe. Inspired by some of the Jazz greats, Raymond's passion for music lead him to be a founding member of and bass player for The Fabulous Originals band and the group released a single in 1971 "It Ain't Fair, but it's Fun". Additionally, he retired from General Motors after 30 years of service and worked tirelessly to help others.
God sent His angel to walk with him to Glory on Sunday, April 29th, 2018. He was born on November 5th 1950 in Dayton, Ohio to the late T.H. Marbury and Clara Marbury.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two sons, Dr. Raymond Marbury, Jr. of Hyattsville Maryland and Terris Marbury of Huntsville, Alabama; two daughters, Ra'Londa Miller of Winchester, Kentucky and Janice Moore of Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren that he loved dearly, Keyairra, Nehemiah and Jacob. He also loved his family, four brothers, Edward, Willie T., Lester and Rickey Marbury, and three sisters, Olivia (Leroy) Bean, Amanda Woods and Deborah Foster. He had a host of dearest friends including special friend Marsha Thompson, along with many other relatives, nieces and nephews.
