Raymond L. "Cowboy" Elam, Sr.
Age 61, formerly of Dayton, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 in Las Cruces, New Mexico where he has lived for the past three years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee & Norma Jean Elam; and by two brothers, Paul & Billy Elam.
Cowboy is survived by his wife, Rosilea Elam; six children, LaVonna (Chad) Ackley, Teresa Davis, Pam (Kenny) Antaramian, Kunita Davis, Savannah (Chris) Trefz and Raymond L. Elam, Jr.; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Pat Elam; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Cowboy retired from GM with 27 years (4 months, 5 days & 8 hours) of service.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
