Preceded by his parents, Ray and Alice (Hosket) Gillaugh.
Survived by loving wife Joan and son Michael (Melanie) Gillaugh, daughter Laurie Gillaugh and daughter Julie (Douglas) Wright, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pete Graduated from Fairmont High School class of 1948 and the Ohio State University in 1952. He earned varsity letters in three sports in high school and two varsity letters in basketball at Ohio State. He was particularly proud of graduating as a Distinguished Military Graduate after four years of ROTC training at OSU. Following graduation,Pete spent two years as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Most of his business career was spent in finance and accounting in the public governmental and business sectors. He was a former member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Executive Institute. Charitable activities included service on various committees and boards including United Way, The Dayton Foundation, Senior Citizens Center of the Greater Dayton area and Lutheran Social Services. Pete retired in 1990 from the Duriron Company, Inc. as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.
A private celebration of life will be held.
