Mannier, Raymond G. passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2008. He was born November 22, 1925. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Ruby Fern Wilson. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Constance and Philip Robertson of Jamestown; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight and Debbie Mannier of Xenia, and Bret and Kathy Mannier of Riverside; and a close friend, Saneth Carter of Bellefontaine, Ohio; ten grandchildren; Joshua and his wife, Jennifer, in Springfield, Oregon; Mark and his wife, Brittany, in Miamisburg; Benjamin and his wife, Brianna, in Minster; Amanda, and her fiance, Tony, in New Albany; Emily and her husband, Andy, in Charlotte, Michigan; Leah and her husband, Jason, in Xenia; Nathanael in Kettering; Isaac in Xenia; Jesse in Kettering; Beth and her husband, E.J., in Charlotte, Michigan; and six great grandchildren; Cassidy, McKenna, Parker, Preston, Noah, and Caleb; a sister, Frances Gabbard, of Columbus, Indiana; two nieces, Anna and son, Matthew, of Columbus, Indiana; and Gay, Austin, Tyler and Annika Reitenga of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; three brothers-in-law, Ernie and Ralph Wilson and Stan Knabel and their families. He was a native Daytonian and a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was retired from the Dayton Public Schools after 30 years of service, having served as printing teacher and assistant principal at Patterson Co-op and principal of Stivers and Belmont High Schools. He was a past president of Dayton School Administrators and a member of several educational organizations. He was a longtime member of the Printing House Craftsmen's organization, the Beacon Toastmasters Club, and the Dayton Cycling Club. He was a past president and board member of Lutheran Social Services of the Miami Valley, a past chairman of the Sinclair Community College Printing Technologies Advisory Committee. He also served as a volunteer with Junior Achievement, the Beavercreek Senior Adult Center, and Words Reading Service. He was a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church in Beavercreek and in recent years was a member of the Parkview Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be held Monday, June 23, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Parkview Church of the Nazarene with Rev. David Ringhiser and Rev. Ron Justice officiating.
