Raymond Edward Freeland, age 65, of Dayton, passed away on April 1, 2016 at his home. He was born on January 7, 1951 in San Bernadino California, to the late Raymond and Ruby (Pass) Freeland. Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Iola; his three daughters, Jennifer Freeland, Lenea (David) Hopkins, Elizabeth (James) Wolford; four sons, Edward Freeland, Joseph (Angie) Freeland, Rodney (Denise) Slusser, Robert (Ariell) Freeland; brother, Thomas (Theresa) Freeland; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Raymond served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was also very passionate about his Native American roots and loved participating in Pow-Wow's under his Native American name, "Singing Bear". Graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Dayton National Cemetery.
