Raymond Andrew Creech

Raymond Andrew Creech passed away peacefully on January 11th, 2023 in Dayton, OH. He was 94 years old.
Raymond was born February 12th, 1928 in Sandy Hook, KY to his parents John and Della Creech. He was drafted into the Navy out of high school and served his country proudly. He married Ruby Creech on August 22, 1953. They spent the next 69 years raising their family and creating lasting memories.
He retired in 1989 from General Motors. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior in 1996, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Beavercreek, OH.
Raymond was a devoted husband and enjoyed being a father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. He was a beloved friend to many.
He grew up on a family farm and continued to garden for many years. He enjoyed music, collecting records and playing the guitar. Raymond was an avid Nascar fan, the sound of cars lapping the track filled their home after church on Sundays as Ruby cooked a family meal. He had a garage workshop, and made custom shelving for family and clients. You would often find Raymond reading. Zane Grey Western novels were among his favorites. He loved fishing, and trips to the Air Force museum. He played a mean game of Yahtzee, and was a math whiz with the dice!
He found joy in the successes of his family and encouraged them in their endeavors. His words of wisdom, gentle guidance, and enthusiasm will be missed.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents John and Della Creech, brother James Creech, sisters; Edna Martin, Jewel Legg, Thelma Duke, Sarah Dean, Joan Luttrull, Myrl Ison and son in-law Dan Drago.
He is survived by his wife Ruby Creech, son Michael and daughter in-law Debbie Creech, daughter Missy Drago, grandchildren; Brandy "Guillermo" Rubke, Kelly Creech, Darcy "Scott" Spires, Dan Drago, and great grandchildren; Jace and Avrie Creech, and George Spires.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am, on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am.
