Raymond E. "Butch" Bostick, age 73, of Dayton, Ohio passed away after a prolonged illness on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. He was born on May 27, 1943 in Clark County to Thomas and Bina (Miller) Bostick. He married Marcia (Faulkner) Bostick on April 8, 1978 in Kettering, OH. He worked for General Motors for 30 years and retired in 1997 and was an ordained minister with Faith Hill Church of God in Fairborn, OH.
Butch served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era, liked to hunt and fish and was a motorcycle enthusiast. In his later years he became very well versed in computers and stayed in touch with his Navy buddies via the computer. He loved to preach, share the gospel and talk about the Lord. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Butch is survived by his wife; his daughter Robin (Robert) Pelles; his son Andrew Bostick; three granddaughters Emily, Abigail and Madelyn Pelles; a brother Richard "Dick" Bostick; special friends Bob and Jo Ann Collins and Mike and Rhonda Barker; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Lois Dingledine.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all those who prayed for and visited Butch in his final months.
A Going Home Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 beginning at 11:00 am at Faith Hill Church of God, 35 Vanderbilt Drive, Fairborn, OH 45324 with Rev. Gary Easterling and Rev. Darryl Brown officiating. The family requests memorial donations be made to the church in Butch's memory.
