Drake, Raymond A., "Butch", 95, of Beavercreek, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013.
He was retired from GM/Fridgidaire after 36 years. Butch was an Army Veteran of WWII, and was preceded in death by his brothers, Wilbert, Melvin, Charles, Lester, Chester, his sisters, Esther and Maribelle.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Maxine; his son and daughter in law, Gary and Brenda Drake; daughter, Pegi Beecroft; 6 grandchildren, Gary (Julia) Drake, Mark (Mindy) Drake, Rob Drake, Tim (Bethany) Drake, Amber Beecroft, Darcie (Tim) Martin; 7 great grandchildren, Jeremy, Katie, MacKenzie, Landon, Tyler, Dru, Anna; his sister, Virginia Peyton; sister in law, Hazel Drake ,and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 to 1:30 on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. where a funeral service will follow at 1:30. Burial in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
