Ray William Deis

DEIS, Ray W., age 84, of Xenia, passed away on July 26, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl, Sr. and Ruth Deis; 4 siblings, and wife of 60 years, Alvena Deis.

Ray is survived by his children, Michael (Karen) Deis, Karen (Edwin) Paul, and Dwayne (Patricia) Deis; grandchildren, Eric Deis, Brianne Deis, Joy Brandon, Richard (Terri) Hayner, Ashley Deis, and Bryan Deis; great grandchildren, Shalé Hayner, Kendrick Hayner, Koby Hayner, Kearslynn Hayner, Kobrick Hayner, and Kerea Hayner, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ray served in the U. S. Army from 1951 - 1953. He was also a Boy Scout leader and trainer for many years.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 6:30 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where a funeral service will follow at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the American Cancer Society.
