Ray Shelton

SHELTON, Ray (Gene), age 78 of Dayton, passed away November 9, 2007 at his home. Ray was a veteran of the Korean War. Ray was a retired Dayton firefighter after many years of service. he is survived by his loving wife of 55 years (Wynona), 1 brother, Cecil (Marg) Shelton, of Vandalia; 2 sons, Larry (Judy) Shelton, of Arcanum, Carl (Theresa) Shelton, of Wilmington; 3 grandchildren, Charlene, Lisa, and Cody; 4 great-grandchildren, Steven, Taylor, Megan, Damien; and many other nieces, nephews friends and relatives in the Ashland Kentucky area. He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him for the person he was; loving, caring, and always willing to help anyone. His memory will live in our hearts forever. A very special thanks to Hospice Home Care in our time of need. The family will receive friends and family 6-8PM Monday, November 12, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday November 13, 2007 at the funeral home.
