ROUDEBUSH, Ray, age 89, of Dayton, OH, quietly passed away Thursday, January 15, 2009 during his stay at the Dayton Veteran's Hospital. He was born April 2, 1919 in Dayton, OH, to Clarence and Mary Roudebush. He was a life long resident of Montgomery County Ohio, he graduated from Fairview High School in 1937 and continued his education at Miami Jacobs. While stationed in Ft. Rucker Alabama, he met and married Gladys Ryals in 1943. He served in World War II overseas as a Corporal from 1943 to 1946. Ray was a 2nd generation realtor with 68 years served to the Dayton Area Board of Realtors. He was the longest practicing licensed realtor in the nation and received the honor and distinction of Realtor Emeritus with his time as a member of the Dayton Area Board of Realtors. Ray is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gladys; three of his children, Sandee (Don) Smith, Ronald (Wanda) Roudebush, and Pam (Wyatt) Keesbery; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Justina Rae Gibson "Tina" in 2008. A gathering of friends will be held Sunday, January 18, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the American Cancer Society.
