Ray Houck

HOUCK, Ray O. 80, passed away November 24, 2005 at the Kettering Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Eda Houck, three brothers, Wilbur, Walter and Fred Houck. He is survived by his wife Helen of 60 years, son Ron (Marjorie) Houck, daughter Sue Houck and four grandchildren, Ron Jr., Rachael, April and Robert, five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Nathan, Wyatt, Christopher and Stephanie, two sisters, Laura Bartlow and Freda (William) Marburger, sister-in-law Zella Icenbarger and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many members of his extended family. Ray was a Navy veteran of WWII, and worked 32 years for the Kettering School System in Custodial Maintenance. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 9927 and belonged to the George L. Marshal Masonic Lodge. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM. Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering, Kettering, Ohio, with burial to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 170 Valley Rd., Xenia, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday, November 28, 2005 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Special thanks to everyone from the 3rd floor Cardiac ICU, who took such wonderful care of Ray.
