Ray E. Stansberry

Ray Ernest Stansberry passed away peacefully at home on Sunday December 22, 2013. "Big" Ray has gone home to see the Lord Jesus Christ and he will be sorely missed, but his life will be forever celebrated. Loving and Faithful husband to Connie Stansberry (Deceased Mar 29th, 2011). Loving, Kind, Caring, and Compassionate Father to; Amy Hellickson, Cathy (Wally) Potter, Sarah (Andrew) Rodricks, Ray (Jennifer) Stansberry. Proud Grandfather to Shawn, Daniel, Nicholas, Heather, Eric, Tommy, Rusty, Madison, Chloe and a Loving Great Grandfather as well. Ray was preceded in death by his loving wife Connie, father Robert Lee Stansberry, and brother Danny Stansberry. He is survived by Loving Mother Alma Stansberry, Linda Stansberry, Katherine "Kat" (Larry) Williams, Diane (Denny) Roberts. Ray was many things to many people but will be especially remembered as a Faithful and Loving Husband, "BIG" Ray, Ernest, Papa Bear, Poppy, BROTHER, Loving Grandfather and Great Grandpa. He was a hard worker and served as Business Agent of Teamster Local 957 for many years. Away from work he was an avid Motorcycle enthusiast, fisherman, storyteller, antique collector, and devoted family man who always insisted he was "a grown ass man", who "always had a plan". Although we will all miss him dearly, we are confident and happy that we will have Ray on our side looking down on us and asking the Lord personally to help us through our tough times, and celebrating with us through the good ones. We look forward to seeing Ray waiting for us with open arms when we make the long journey home to Heaven. Eternal rest, grant unto Ray, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Ray Ernest Stansberry rest in peace forever, AMEN. Viewing Services will be held for everyone Monday December 30, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH, 45432. Funeral Service to be celebrated on Tuesday December 31, 2013, at 10:30am also at Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel. Interment will be at a later date.
