Ray Delawder, Jr.

Delawder, Ray, Jr., age 80, of Medway, died peacefully at home on Thursday, September 20, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lucille Delawder. Ray is survived by his Sweetheart of 27 years," Lulubelle" Louise Slone; 3 daughters, Pamela Fernandez, Carol Hediger, Amanda Archer; 1 son, Ricky Delawder, all of Fairborn; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 brother, Lloyd Delawder; 2 sisters, Linda Anderson, Colleen McMann; and many nieces and nephews.
Ray was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion and the F.O.E. in Fairborn. Ray was a self employed Carpenter for many years.
Funeral Service will be held 12:30 pm on Tuesday September 25, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Friends may visit for 1 hour prior to the service, 11:30-12:30. Burial with Military Honors to follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
