Raquel Garcia Blake

Raquel Garcia Blake, age 78, of Beavercreek, passed away surrounded by family on May 19, 2017. She was born in Valencia, Spain in 1938. Raquel married Daril Blake in 1960 in Spain. Daril and Raquel moved to the area in 1963.

Raquel was an avid gardener, seamstress, and cook. She took great pride and joy in her family. Daril and Raquel are members of St. Luke's Catholic Church. Raquel was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Raquel was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Charles Blake.

Raquel leaves behind to cherish her memory, loving husband of 57 years, Daril Blake; children, John Blake and Raquelin Blake; granddaughter, Rebeca Grooms; 2 great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 5pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 10am at St. Luke's Catholic Parish. Internment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America in Raquel's memory.
