Randy S. Bartley, age 79, of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on Monday September 24, 2018. Randy was born March 28, 1939 in Ezel, Kentucky. He graduated from Miamisburg High School in 1957, where he was a star football player. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. He was also a volunteer Firefighter and EMT for the Village of New Lebanon. Randy retired from Standard Register after 44 years of service. Having been a member of the Ohio and American Quarter Horse Associations, Randy enjoyed showing, training and transporting horses across the country. He loved to collect and trade knives, and was a member of the National Knife Collectors Association. He was also an avid collector of antiques and memorabilia of all kinds, and loved to spend time on the golf course. He is preceded in death by his parents, L. Viola and Rex Bartley; brother, Kenny Bartley. Randy is survived by his 2 children, son, Brent (Denise Gum) Bartley, and daughter, Andrea (Chris) Koller; 5 grandchildren, Blake (Katy) Bartley, Joel (Alyssa) Bartley, Chelsea (Kirk) Shoemaker, Jonathan (Caitlin) Richardson, Alexandra Koller; 5 great-grandchildren, Leo, Aubrey, Kay, June, Ellie.
Family will receive friends, Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 12-2 p.m. at Newcomer South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., with service to follow at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to: Therapeutic Riding Institute, 5224 Dearth Rd., Springboro, Ohio 45066.
