Randall L. Herbert, age 52 of Kettering, passed away August 16, 2015. He was born September 19, 1962 in Beckley, WV to Sonny and Gloria Herbert.
In addition to his parents, Randy is survived by his daughter, Brittany Herbert (Brian Haley); granddaughter, Harper Haley; brother, Steve Herbert; numerous extended family and friends. He is also survived by his former wife and friend, Cheryl Collins.
Randy was a graduate of Centerville High School, Class of 1981. He retired from GM / Delphi. Randy was very active in the Kettering, Centerville and Dayton Softball Leagues for over 30 years. He was a great mentor to many players over the years and is remembered very fondly by all.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 5-6 pm.
