Ramona Jeanie Boyes

Ramona "Jeanie" Boyes, 59, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2024. Loving mother of Amanda (Joshua) Tickler and William (Kiley Hooper) Boyes, cherished grandmother of Molly, Gabriel and Willow, adored sister of Darla (John Dix) Deluyck and beloved niece of Robert Boyes. She is also survived by multiple nieces, nephews and friends.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her fiancée Jeff Middendorf, parents William and JoAnn Boyes, sister Suzy Davidson and brother in laws Randy Davidson and Lucky Deluyck. 

Jeanie worked in Cass City, Michigan for years at Charmont and Hills and Dales Hospital in the kitchen before meeting the love of her life and moving to Minnesota where she worked as an optician. In 2021 she moved to Dayton, Ohio to be closer to daughter and grandchildren, where she settled in and met a lot of new friends.  

Jeanie was very active in many communities and was a sister in sobriety. She enjoyed writing and drawing. She was known to her family and friends as being very hard working. She also loved to cook, she was famous for her cheeseball. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was the most important thing to Jeanie.  Jeanie was over the moon excited about meeting her new granddaughter named Willow.

Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Friday July 19, 2024 at 3:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 4:00 pm.
