Ralph Morgan, Sr.

Ralph E. Morgan, Sr., age 69 of Riverside, went home to be with the Lord on February 20, 2012. He was born April 1, 1942 in Dayton to the late Fred and Myrtle Morgan. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his sister, Vertice "Birdie" Brewer.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jerilene "Jerri" Morgan; children: Tralene Morgan, Ralph (Sheri) Morgan, Jr. and Karen (Jerome) Holliday; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Fred, Leo, Mary, Willie, Nancy, Jimmy and Lou; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army,was a member of the International Faith Church in Fairborn, Ohio, and was an employee of Transfreight.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Pastors Gordon Kilburn and Linda Jones co-officiating. Burial to follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
