Ralph Kaufman

KAUFMAN, Ralph, age 84, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2009. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria in 2004; sister, Midge; grandson, Ben in 1983, and son, Todd in 1991. Ralph is survived by his longtime companion, Marlene Brown; children, Douglas Kaufman, Hilary Holzer, Paul Kaufman, and Alix Kaufman; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Ruth Rosenberg and Margie Schwartz. He briefly played football for and graduated from Ohio State University after serving in the United States Navy during WWII. Ralph owned a small advertising business in the Dayton area for over 40 years. He is well known for his gregarious personality, sense of humor, love of golf, and love of his grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Services will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Rabbi David Sofian officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery, Dayton, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
