French, Ralph Curtis, 88, of Dayton, died on August 16, 2018.
He was born September 8, 1929 in Middleport, Ohio to the late Clyde and Loretta (Eberts) French. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Ralph was a graduate of Jackson High School and the Ohio State University with a BS in Education and the Ohio State Law School. He continued his education with a Masters in Business Administration from George Washington University. Ralph was a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) serving as Chairman of the Contracts Committee at WPAFB. He received many awards and recognition during his years of employment. Ralph was a longtime member of Central Christian Church, serving as an Elder and Chair of various committees.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dixie Stanley French; three sons, Kenton (Melissa) French, David (Lisa) French, Rodney (Jennifer) French; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson. Also surviving is one brother, Lawrence Owen (Patty) French; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Ralph was the last of the "True Gentlemen". He had an incredible sense of humor and loved and accepted everybody unconditionally.
A Gathering will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 4:00pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 5:00pm at Newcomer South Chapel 3940 Kettering Blvd.
