Ralph Collins loving husband 80 of Centerville, OH has gone to be with the Lord.
Ralph is survived by his wife Ruth (nee: Brogan), Daughters Rebecca (Tom Morawski) Collins-Morawski of Dayton Ohio, and Rochelle (Dylan Posa) Collins-Posa of Lebanon, OH, Sisters Wanda (Clyde) Head Punt, Margaret (Dave) Ayers, Betty Sue (Gary) Johnson, brother in-laws Dottie Brogan of Texas, Glenn Brogan of Dayton, and Dean Brogan of Tennessee as well as four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Ralph proudly served in the Army's 82nd Airborne, which included an assignment to Germany during the early 1960's. After being honorably discharged Ralph worked for 35+ years at Chrysler of Dayton. During his retirement he was assigned for a project to retool production machines at Chrysler's South African plant. Ralph also received a degree in HVAC technology after which he started Collins Refrigeration and Heating. Ralph also rose to a high level in the Order of Masons.
As an avid and accomplished golfer one of Ralph's golfing highlights included winning a tournament where he was awarded the opportunity to play a few holes of golf with PGA champion Jack Nicklaus. Ralph was well known for his wood working skills and crafted a number of tables and benches for his family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, caring father and grandfather, as well as a great fishing buddy, bowler, and card player.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 from 11 AM to 12 PM with services beginning at 12 PM, all at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439.
Interment to follow at Highland Cemetery in Miamisburg, OH.
