Ralph Charles Spalding, Sr.
Age 84, of Clayton, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 21, 2008.
He was a veteran of WW II having served in the 3rd Army under Gen. George S. Patton. Ralph retired from Chrysler Airtemp with 36 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Bernard & Genevieve Jones Spalding; and by his brother, John Spalding.
He is survived by his loving wife of the past 62 years, Billie J. (nee: Taylor) Spalding; one son, Ralph C. Jr & his wife, Deborah Spalding; two daughters, Nancy & her husband, Charles Stalcup and Sue Cross; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren; in-laws, Kent & Darlene Taylor, Lois Stoll & Normy Burk and by a host of other relatives and friends.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Newcomer, North chapel in charge of arrangements.
