Printhia P. Hornback, age 93 of Beavercreek, OH, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021, in Dayton, OH She was born July 28, 1927 in Canel City, KY to the late Arbe and Dora (Bailey) Prater.
Left to cherish Printhia's memory are her sons: Larry (Wanda) Hornback, and Justus (Wally) Hornback; daughters: Sharon Roush, and Constant (Brian) Turley; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.
Printhia was a bright, energetic, and witty person, who expertly managed a loving home. She married Harold "Scott" Hornback on May 4, 1945. Together, they raised their family in Fairborn, New Carlisle, and Seaman, OH. In earlier years, she and Scott were very involved in their church. Printhia enjoyed extensive vegetable and flower gardening, raising chickens and cows, quilting, sewing, and crocheting. She made the best banana pudding ever. Her fried chicken, chocolate pie, and chocolate caramel cake were second to none. Most of all, Printhia enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Printhia was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Scott Hornback; sons: Gary Mitchell and Robert Scott Hornback; daughters: Arlene Webb and Darlene Craft; son-in-law, Samuel Roush; 4 sisters; and 1 brother.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek) where a funeral service celebrating Printhia's life will follow at 5:00 p.m. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Cherry Fork Cemetery Monday, March 29, 2021 in Cherry Fork, OH
