Polly Stamper passed away peacefully February 8, 2014.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was born in Middletown, OH on June 10, 1920. She was secretary of her church for almost forty years. She was an active volunteer with her granddaughter, Christina Weaver, with Hooked on Fishing and Child ID. Polly was recognized through RSVP as Volunteer of the Year in 2003. She was a lifeguard and instructor with handicapped children and adults. She risked her life to save two people from drowning. She was the cook and helper every summer for several years at church summer camp.
She is survived by her three children; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. Her children are Hugh Stamper (Linda), Judy Huffman and Patsy Stamper-Knoth (Nick). She had many relatives too numerous to list. She was loved by all who knew her.
Hard-working hands finally at rest. She is at home with Jesus, her only request.
Contributions may be made to Evercare Hospice, in Polly's memory.
