Britten graduated from Miamisburg High School in 1995 where she played in the drumline for the Miamisburg Marching Band. After graduation she attended Sinclair Community College where she studied culinary arts. Britten worked in Nutrition Services at Miamisburg Middle School in what she often called her "dream job" before leaving for health reasons. She was a devoted member of Miamisburg Christian Church and volunteered for numerous organizations including Threads, Miamisburg Band Boosters, Mound Elementary PTA, and The Girl Scouts of Western Ohio Troop 32125.

Britten was known for her smile and laughter, which could light up a room. She had an amazing sense of humor and embraced life to the fullest. Even through numerous surgeries and medical procedures she always kept a positive attitude and managed to lift up everyone around her. She loved her family dearly and always supported them, whether it was watching Chris play bass at church or in many of his numerous bands, Corin play drums in the marching band, or Liam play sports. She could always be recognized by her loud cheers. She loved her dog Basil and often called him her therapy dog as he always seemed to know when she wasn't feeling well and sat near her. She loved to take selfies with her friends and family, take road trips to fun locations and restaurants she would look up on Instagram, watch the hummingbirds during the Summer out the front picture window, and she loved the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. Driving around looking at Christmas lights while listening to Christmas music and drinking hot chocolate was one of her favorites. Britten had a large family of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins that she dearly loved spending time and sharing fun experiences with. She was very proud of her Hungarian heritage and it was celebrated many times with friends and family at The Grape Dance Festival in North Dayton. She loved to cook and share her amazing meals and recipes with everyone.
