Pleaz Barrett

Pleaz Barrett, age 83, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 19, 2009. He was born August 17, 1925, in Manchester, Kentucky to the late Charlie & Ida Barrett. Pleaz was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul, Gene, Luster, Jesse and George Barrett; sisters, Oma Taylor, Edith Sester and Pansy Hensley. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Fern D. Barrett; daughters, Becky Barrett-Jones and her husband Alan Jones of Centerville, OH and Lisa Barrett of Miamisburg, OH; granddaughter, Grace Levan of Miamisburg, OH; sister, Alta Toliver of Norwood, OH; and many other relatives and friends including special niece, Cheryl Mink of South Lebanon, OH. Pleaz was an active member of the Far Hills Community Church for 52 years, where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 22, 2009 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at the Far Hills Community Church (5800 Clyo Rd, Dayton, OH 45459). The service will follow at 12:00 pm, with Rev. David Roddy officiating. Burial will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church in Pleaz's name.
