Phyllis Schaeff

Phyllis Jean Schaeff, age 88 of Dayton, passed away November 24, 2016. She was born April 1, 1928 in Dayton to the late Joseph and Mary Bishop. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters; husband, John Schaeff; and granddaughter, Rebecca Bole.

Phyllis is survived by her children: Susan (Joe) Bole, Steven Kent, Sharon Scott, Sandy (Jeff) Reynolds and Shelly (Aaron) Horney; 9 grandchildren: Amy Kindred, Patrick Bole, John Bole, Jarrod Kent, Melissa Velden, Rachel Rieker, Jessica Reynolds, Brittany Melanson and Danielle Melanson; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Cookie) Bishop; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Phyllis was a loving, devoted mother whose life revolved around her children and grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:30-7:30 pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. A private graveside service will be held for the family at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Phyllis' memory to The Hospice of Dayton.
