Phyllis Imogene Reaves, age 89 of Xenia, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at St. Leonard Center. She was born September 2, 1934 in Little Sandy, Kentucky the daughter of the late Ossie and Grace Wells.
Phyllis graduated from Danville Kentucky School for the Deaf. There she was proudly elected Homecoming Queen and was known as the best cook in her class. She enjoyed taking pictures and visiting family in Kentucky. She was the ultimate homemaker; she loved to cook, bake, sew, make her own clothes and most importantly take care of her family.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her son, David H. Reaves.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Glen Reaves; daughter, Melody Reaves; grandchildren, Kelli Kowalski (Jim Kowalski) and her children, Cora, James and Anna; Jon Reaves, Charles Glen Randall and Makenzie Grace Randall; siblings, Calvin Wells, Wilbur Wells and Helen Wells; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with a service at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Phyllis will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia following the service.
