Phyllis Jean Patterson

Phyllis Jean Patterson, age 90, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Brookhaven Nursing Home. She was born September 29, 1932 to the late Earl and Frances (Boyd) Fox.
Jean is survived by her son, Ralph Patterson and his fiance Karen Sudduth of Brookville, Ohio; sister, Sandy Smith; brother, Lloyd Fox; grandchildren: Jennifer, Morgan, and Parker Patterson; great grandchildren: Zoe, Aubrey, and Randy Patterson, and Luke Hill.
In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her son, Earl Patterson; sisters: JoAnn Smith and Shirley Rice; brother, James Fox; and good friend, Barb Barnhart.
Jean retired from Meijers. She was a devoted member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She donated many hours to the congregation. Jean enjoyed spending time with the members of the church and joined in their many activities. She loved spending time with her family and good friend Wanda Grooms. Jean was an animal lover.
We would like to express our gratitude to Darla Patterson for her exceptional care at the nursing home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jean's name to either Hospice of Dayton or the Dayton ASPCA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11:00am at First Church of the Nazarene, 7031 N. Main Street, Dayton.
