Phyllis Jean O'Ryan

Phyllis J. O'Ryan, age 93 passed away peacefully on July 8, 2022. She was born on April 6, 1929 in Dayton, OH to the late Clark and Nellie (Pyle) Leis. Phyllis retired from her position as dispatcher with the Harrison Township Fire Department in 1991. Above anything in life, she loved her family. Phyllis also enjoyed traveling, playing cards, reading, gardening and being outdoors by her swimming pool. And she discovered the love of bingo in the last few months of her life.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, William O'Ryan; two children: Patricia Godsey and Dennis O'Ryan; three grandchildren: Charlie Jackson, Dale Godsey and Kendra Shafer; and her siblings: Tommy Leis, Carol Daniels and Bonnie Wolf.

Phyllis is survived by her children: Michael (Renee) O'Ryan, Peggy (Shelley) O'Ryan-Predmore, Tim (Susan) O'Ryan and Kathy (Ray) Naylor; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; Phyllis is also survived by her brother James (Diane) Leis and numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:30pm on Thursday, July 14 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where a funeral service will immediately follow.
