Phyllis A. Neff age 89 of Dayton, formerly of Enon passed away at Hospice of Dayton on Wed., Jan. 21, 2015. Born Feb. 8, 1925 in Spfld., oldest of five to the late Isaac "Frank" and Stella (Whipp) DeLong. Graduated from Olive Branch in 1943 and then married in 1947 to Virgil Neff Jr., her husband for 35 years. She loved and taught music for many years in homes and at W.P.A.F.B. She was a hard worker working at W.P.A.F.B. for 20 plus yrs. as a secretary, and Walmart for 10 yrs. She trusted in Jesus as her Lord and Savior as a young girl and served Him in music ministry in many churches, taught Sunday School, and led girls scouts and 4H. She loved working with her hands in the garden, kitchen, and at a sewing machine. She loved her 3 children, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. We are thankful for the 90 years of life given and will miss her. She is survived by her son, Chris and Lori Neff of Indiana, two daughters, Ruthann Neff and Julie and Rennes Bowers of Dayton, 12 grandchildren: Matthew, Ren, Nathan, Katie, Amber, Sam, Sean, Zachary, Kristyn, Karlie, Kyle, and Kerrigan, 13 grandchildren, one sister Elaine Kimmell of Donnelsville, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and her dog, Nyla. We are thankful for those she will be reunited with in Heaven. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 31 at 12:00 in the Donnelsville Lutheran Church followed by a service at Donnelsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations towards funeral expenses will be accepted. We are very thankful to Hospice for the love and care they gave to Phyllis.
