Phyllis A. Metzler, age 86 of Kettering, passed away November 6, 2014. She was born October 26, 1928 in Dayton to the late Elmer and Elizabeth Hime. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, William Metzler; sister, Shirley Martin; and brother, Donald Hime.
Phyllis is survived by her children: Diane (Lee) Welsh, Darlene Metzler, Robert (Linda) Metzler, and Donna (Al) Channell; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held for the family at David's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Phyllis' memory to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
