Phyllis M. Simons

SIMONS, Phyllis M., age 85, of Beavercreek, passed away Friday, August 1, 2008. She was born August 8, 1922 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of Francis J. and Anna F. (Peckas) Alf. Phyllis taught Piano and Voice lessons from her home for many years in Beavercreek and was a member of Hawker United Church of Christ where she was active with the choir, prayer group, and the Women's Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband John C. Simons in 1992 and both parents. She is survived by her children, Beth (Michael) Barga and Lynn (John) Stapleton; grandchildren, Lauren Stapleton, Diana (Michael) Pappas, David (Michelle) Barga and Sean Stapleton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel with Pastor Mike Hout officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to time of service. If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
