Phyllis Jean Keen

Phyllis Jean Keen, 87, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2022. Loving mother of Kathy (Jim) Ramsey, Dale (Krista) Keen and Carol (Jim) Bodish, cherished grandmother of James (Andrea), Amber (Joe), Brandon, Kelsie (Willie), Cody (Evy), Caiden and Ryker, adored great grandmother of Alyssa, Kaylie, James, Ashlyn, Jacob, Leanna, Ariannah, Zhion, Weston, Bentley and Cameron. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Bertram C. Keen, her parents Victor and Vera Kathryn Ballweg, son Kenneth Keen daughter Mary Kate and siblings Don Ballweg and Donna "Pete" Stewart.
Phyllis loved to hang out with her friends in her many clubs that she participated in, including The Senior Center, The Red Hotties, her card club and pizza buddies (even though she did not like pizza). Phyllis was an avid bowler for over 50 years. One of her favorite activities was attending her grand children's sporting events.
Public visitation to be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd) on Monday May 9th at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Helen's Parish (605 Granville Pl, Dayton, OH 45431) the follow day, May 10, 2022 at 11 am. Burial at Dayton Memorial Park.
Memorial donations can be made in Phyllis' honor to The American Cancer Society (https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html).
