Phyllis J. Knox, age 80 of Medway, Ohio passed away June 21, 2022. She was born January 23, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of the late Eldon and Wanda Cox. She was preceded in death by her sons, Steven and Daniel Knox, Jr., brothers, James Cox and Terry Cox, and grandson Anthony Knox.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 62 years, Daniel Knox Sr.; Nicole (Sean) Herrberg; grandchildren Amanda (Aaron) Helman, Daniel (Taulinah) Knox III , Amber (Jarod) Barker, Brianne (Cody) Myers, and Ashley Knox; great grandchildren, Madison, Alex, Grayson, Luke, Reese, Emma, Elaina, Emelia, Allie and Maddie; great great grandson, Arthur; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Phyllis was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She was the matriarch of a large family of cousins, nieces, nephews, and life-long family friends who brought her much love, joy, and happiness.
Being an animal lover, Phyllis donated to multiple rescues for the welfare of animals. Her most favorite animal, however, was her pet cat, Frankie, whom she doted over and spoiled with love. She was also an avid reader, with her favorite author being J.D. Robb. She was always quick to grab the newest novel and expeditiously read it, readily waiting for the next to be released. Regardless of what she was doing, or who she was with, she gave the utmost love, from the bottom of her heart, to all that surrounded her.
Her unbounding love for her friends and family will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29th from 10am to 11am with services following afterward. Burial will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in New Carlisle.
Memorial contributions can be made in Phyllis' honor to ASPCA or the American Cancer Association.
