Phyllis June Ferguson

Phyllis June Ferguson, age 73 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2018. Phyllis was born in Ann Arundle County, MD to the late Margie and Kenneth Purkey. Phyllis lived in many different places, including North Carolina, Ohio, Maryland, and Texas.

She was very skilled at cross-stitching and enjoyed playing bingo. She had a great ability to always find a good deal and loved to go to garage sales. Phyllis took great pride in her children and grandchildren. She loved to spend time with her family. She was a loving, generous, and compassionate mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her second husband, David Little; third husband, Charles Ferguson; brothers, Kenneth Purkey and Robert Purkey; and sister, Lois Pasche.

Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory, loving sons, Thomas (Carolyn Prater) Downing and Kenneth (Andria) Downing; grandchildren, Thomas K. Downing, Dustin Downing, Tyler Downing, Andrew Ijames, Jacob Lilly, George Perez, and Estrella Perez; sisters, Faye Colbert, Susie Prater, and Mary Winemiller; brothers, David "Dibber" Purkey and William "Billy" Purkey; and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Private Family services will be held in Davie County, North Carolina at a later date.
