Dueer, Phyllis C., age 86, of Moraine, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. Phyllis was a member of Bethel Christian Assembly of God for over 55 years. Phyllis shared her beautiful music (the gift) of singing and playing the piano and organ with so many for well over 50 years. She played for the VA hospital (to brave), numerous nursing facilities and hospitals (to old), mental health organizations (to broken) and served as a Sunday school teacher (to young). God has surely blessed her!
Phyllis is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Keith (Cynthia) Dueer of West Carrollton; daughter and son-in-law: Virginia (Richard) Martin of Casstown; granddaughters: Andrea & Joyce Dueer; nieces and nephews: Glen Wetzel & David Norris of Dayton, Hazel Sage of Texas; sisters-in-law: Vivian Wetzel of West Carrollton & Margaret Norris of Lebanon; and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence J. Dueer Jr.; parents: Roy & Grace Wetzel; and brother: Ralph Wetzel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd. with Pastors Dan Brown and Ron Houser officiating. Interment will follow the service at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Hospice of Dayton or Bethel Christian Assembly of God.
