Brooks, Phyllis Irene, age 79, of Beavercreek passed away Nov. 10, 2017 at her home.
She was born April 20, 1938 in Rockhold, KY to the late James F. and Imogene (Merritt) Golden.
Phyllis was a loving mother, homemaker and friend. She believed strongly in the power of prayer and would always mention her family in her prayers.
She was a member of the Beavercreek Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon L. Brooks; sisters Joanne Dykes and Wanda Gail Golden and brother James Golden.
Phyllis is survived by her children Victoria (Brian) Winget, Michael (Tammy) Brooks, Katharine (Dan) Kimura and Lorri (Ed) Roberts; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sisters Denise Seaman and Carmon Gay; brother Bret Golden; as well as many other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Phyllis' family will greet friends on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 from 5-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
