Phyllis L. Baltzer, 91, of Beavercreek, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Becki) and Brian (Sharon) Baltzer both of Beavercreek, Ohio. She is also survived by her four grandsons, Bob, Scott, Matthew, and Ian Baltzer, as well as, her five great-grandchildren, Brianna, Kieren, Tyson, Madelyn, and Piper Baltzer. In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Marge (Bill) Lokovich and Marilyn (Ken) Zawacki and her brother, Bob (Barb) Johnson all of Michigan.
Phyllis was born in Ludington, Michigan on August 8, 1924. The fourth of nine siblings, she grew up with a strong sense of family. She married Robert (Red) Baltzer on September 8, 1946 after his return from WWII and settled into becoming a homemaker and mother. Phyllis will be remembered for many things; a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a strong and resilient woman, but her passion for cooking and baking will be missed by all who were privileged enough to enjoy her gift.
There will be a private service held for Phyllis followed by a public viewing on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 6:30-7:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Hospice of Dayton for their care, compassion, and comfort during this time.
