Phyllis Ann Young

YOUNG, Phyllis A., age 68, of Bellbrook, OH, passed away Monday, March 10, 2008 after battling a 20 year illness. She was born July 14, 1939 in Paintsville, KY. Phyllis was a graduate of Moorehead State University with a degree in education. She was a third grade teacher for 26 years at Five Points Elementary School in Fairborn, OH, and was a member of Central Avenue Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Fay Young; three daughters, Brenda (Chuck) McKee, Suzan (Sid) Starkey, and Gail (Paul) Sherrod; her mother, Elva Webb; one sister, Barbara Lavender; 7 grandchildren, Nicolas, Rachael, Chad, Travis, Paul, Olivia, and Abigail; friend and caretaker, Ellen Naguit. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Webb. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd.). Visitation will be 1 hour prior to time of service. Interment will follow at Bellbrook Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
