Phyllis Ann Gebhart

Gebhart, Phyllis Ann, age 82, of Miamisburg, passed away February 7, 2010. She was born June 10, 1927 in Dayton to the late Alfred & Imo (Thatcher) Grice. She was a life long resident of Miamisburg, graduating from Miamisburg High School in 1945. She was very active in organizing reunions and raising monies for scholarships. Phyllis was a charter member of Mu Chapter of the Sigma Beta Sorority, which is a philanthropic organization. She was devoted to their many causes, and never lost her enthusiasm for their charitable projects. She served on the National Executive Board for 12 years and was National President from 1992-1994. Phyllis worked as Administrative and Sales Executive for WLW-TV, Gibbons Hotel and Fitzpatrick Reality, and was a member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved animals, sharing her home with numerous cats and dogs throughout her live. Phyllis loved traveling and hosting countless social gathering in her home. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Eugene Gebhart. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until time of services. Interment will take place in Hillgrove Cemetery at a future date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
