Phounsawat Nouanesengsy

Phounsawat “Noi” Nouanesengsy, age 53 passed away suddenly Saturday, May 18, 2024. He was born June 30, 1970 to Sa and Boualay Nouanesengsy in Pakse Laos. Phounsawat was preceded in death by his father Sa Nouanesengsy, and Sayarath’s significant other Jacqueline Wagner. He is survived by his mother (Boualay Nouanesengsy), brother (Sayarath Nouanesengsy) and fiancée Michelle Madsen. He also leaves to mourn grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and loving friends.

Phounsawat’s family moved to Dayton Ohio in 1980 then came to Kettering Ohio in 1985, where he spent most of his life. Phounsawat graduated from Wright State University, with a Bachelor’s Degree, in Informational Technology. He began his career with Delphi and transitioned to Dorothy Lane Market on June 18, 1988, where he had thirty-five years with the company. While there, Phounsawat has held several positions starting from Carryout, to Produce Associate in 2001, to Information Systems Technician in 2002, to Head of Security in 2020, and has helped with numerous store events and functions. Phounsawat received Associate of the Year Awards in 1999 and 2008.

Phounsawat loved to spend time outdoors in his garden planting flowers and vegetables. He enjoyed cooking, playing golf, gaming with family members, building things, and spending time with family and friends.

Phounsawat attended the Wat Paknam America Buddhist Meditation Temple. He will be greatly missed by all.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 10 AM. A funeral ceremony will follow at 11 AM.
