Phillip Savage, age 55 of Miamisburg, passed peacefully Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born September 20, 1967 in Middletown, Ohio.
He is survived by his parents, Willard and Freda Savage; daughter, Baylee Savage; sister, Ginger Vantrease; niece, Alexa Vantrease; two nephews, Austin and Devin Vantrease; loving girlfriend, Annette Robbins; closest friends, Scott Martin, Steve Captain, and Dave Corley; and his fur buddies, Otis and Archie. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Phillip is preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents.
He was a proud Marine who served a marksman from 1990-1994. Phillip was strong willed and stubborn, but also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was truly one of a kind; fiercely loyal and incredibly determined. Phillip was an avid sports fan, and took a lot of pride supporting his beloved Michigan Wolverines and Pittsburgh Steelers. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 165, Miamisburg Eagles 2306, and Miamisburg Moose Lodge 1645.
Phillip will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and most importantly peace.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home-Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). Celebration of Life will be officiated by Andy Warren at 6:00 pm following the gathering.
