Phillip J. Pruzzo

Phillip J. Pruzzo "Phil", age 62 of Dayton, passed away September 29, 2023. He was born December 16, 1960 in Dayton to the late John and Eileen (Strady) Pruzzo. In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Gibson.

He is survived by his two sons, Anthony (Jessie) Thompson and Patrick (Emily) Pruzzo; grandchildren, Bryanna (Isaac), Paul, Eloise, Marty and Owen; siblings, Cathy (Art), Beth (Scott) and Ed; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Phil was a proud gold glove boxer. He worked as a millwright and tree technician. Phil was very helpful in the recovery programs and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and making new friends. He really never met a stranger. His sense of humor would keep you doubled over in laughter and could trade jabs with the best of them.

Family will receive guests from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 5th at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Hospice of Dayton, in Phil's memory.
