Phillip Leon Neff

September 28, 1936 — April 24, 2020

Phillip Leon Neff, age 83 of Fairborn, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 at Dayton Hospice. He was born at home, September 28, 1936 in Darbyville, Ohio the son of Wendell Holmes Neff and Christine Florence (Heeter) Neff. He is preceded in death by his wife Delores Lavern (Moleski) Neff, his parents, son, Phillip Charles Neff and brother, Rodney Emerson Neff of Columbus, Ohio.

Phillip loved playing golf and participating in various golf outings throughout his working career, and always looked forward to sporting events and televised games, especially the Cleveland Browns football. He loved cookouts and spending time with his sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Phillip graduated from Jackson Township High School in 1954, Pickaway County Ohio. From 1955 to 1957 he served in the US Army. He graduated from Ohio State University and became an Insurance Underwriter as a lifelong career. For several years he was co-owner of Forbeck Insurance in Springfield, Ohio, and eventually retired from Wallace and Turner Insurance Company, also in Springfield , Ohio.

Phillip is survived by sons ,Todd Patrick Neff , Thomas Edward (Beckie) Neff, James Wendall Neff; special friends, Lat and Amber Louprasong; grandchildren, Chasity Kelly, Tina Paxson, Todd and Tonya Neff, Meredith Parnello, Sarah Croker, Brittney Neff and Jamie Mase; 10 great grandchildren; he is also survived by numerous family and friends.
