Phillip Lee Hendrix

April 19, 1948 — January 1, 2024

Phillip Lee Hendrix, 75, went to rest high on the mountain January 1, 2024. Loving husband of Jeannette "Mooney" Hendrix for 33 years, cherished father of Jason Hendrix and Michelle (Rob) Tilley, adored grandfather of Kaitlyn, Seth, Bailey, Erica and Lauren, great grandfather of Jaxon, Remy, Josephine, Celia and Atlas and beloved brother of Tony Hendrix. Phillip is also survived by many nieces and friends.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Kathleen Hendrix and siblings Charles Benjamin Jr and Charlene Hendrix.

Phillip worked for 25 years as a over the road truck driver. He retired in 2004 and spent his time doing the things that he loved. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 413. He was also a lifetime member of the AMVETS, American Legion and the Moose Lodge.

Phillip was an avid Reds, Bengals and The Ohio State fan. He would watch or listen to as many games as he could. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and puttering around his farm. His favorite time was spent hanging out with his family and friends.

Family will be gathering to celebrate Phillip's life at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Thursday January 11, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in honor of Phillips's brave battle against leukemia to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (https://www.lls.org/)
