Phillip "Buster"E. Cloyd

November 24, 1943 — October 11, 2021

Phillip E. (Buster) Cloyd, of West Carrollton, Ohio, passed away at age 77 on October 11, 2021. Buster was born in Frankfort, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence H. Cloyd Sr. and Virginia P. Cloyd. He leaves to cherish his memories; his brother Lawrence H. Cloyd, II of Dayton, Ohio, sisters Janet Cloyd Wilfong of Yorktown, Virginia and Keith Elaine (KeeKee) Cloyd Schuh (Wayne) of Beavercreek, Ohio. Also surviving are two stepchildren; Johnny Bowman (Melissa) of Tega Cay, South Carolina and Chantrell Webb of Vandalia, Ohio. Numerous nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, cousins and lifelong friends, Dave Kennedy of Tucson, Arizona also survive.

Buster served in the US Army in support of the Vietnam War and will be interred at the local Veterans Cemetery. He loved his country and was proud of his military service.

He graduated from Stebbins High School in 1962 and from Wright State University in 1975.

Buster worked in the automotive sales business locally for many years. He loved his profession and respected his employers and coworkers.

No services or memorial will be held at this time due to Covid; a memorial service will be planned at a later date at the Dayton Veteran Administration (VA) campus.

Family is saddened by our loss and we will always love our caring, kind, humorous and beloved brother and family member.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Wounded Warriors or the ASPCA, he loved his many dog companions.
